What RailFocus is

RailFocus is independent practice. It is not affiliated with train operators or RSSB, and practice scores are not official assessment results.

Practice is for the type of task. It is not a preview of the exact paper an operator will give you, and a score here is not a pass.

Website and phone apps are separate

The website and the iOS / Android apps are two products. They overlap in the kinds of test, but they are not the same list, and they do not share an account.

• The website needs an account. Your scores, mocks, and Plus live here.
• The phone apps run entirely offline. There is no login, and scores do not sync with the website.
• Buying Plus on the website does not unlock Plus in the apps. Buying Plus in the apps does not unlock Plus on the website.

If you already have Plus in the phone app, you can get a discount on your first 3 months of website Plus. That is a checkout discount, not a key. See the web discount page.

Your account

You need an account to save scores and sit the full website catalog. Keep your login to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

You can delete your account from Settings. That removes your profile and practice history from RailFocus. Stripe may keep payment records they are required to keep.

What is free on the website

Both tracks have five free modules, and one short practice exam. Guest samples on public pages are a taste of the format. Those sample scores are not saved.

The rest of the track, longer runs, extra mocks, and extras such as playlists need Plus. Current amounts are on the pricing page.

Plus on the website

Plus is one payment for 3 or 6 months on the website. It does not renew.

• You pay once, for 3 months or 6 months. We do not take another payment unless you choose to buy again.
• Access lasts for that window. About a week before it ends, we email the address on the account so you can buy another term if you still need it.
• If you buy again while Plus is still active, the new time is added onto the end of the window you already have.
• Website Plus is for the website only. It does not include the iOS or Android apps.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.

If a payment looks wrong, or you think you were charged in error, use the contact page. UK consumer law still applies.

Plus in the phone apps

App purchases are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Their terms cover those payments, renewals, and refunds. We cannot refund an app purchase from this website.

Fair use

Use RailFocus to practise for your own assessment. Do not share paid access, copy the tests to sell them, or try to break the site. We may suspend an account that is used that way.

Availability

We aim to keep the website working. We do not promise it will never be down, and we may change modules, timings, or features as we improve the practice.

How we store and use account data is on the privacy page.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top is the current version. If you keep using the website after a change, the new terms apply.
